Walgreens

I am going to Walgreens tomorrow to score some great deals. Normally, I don't go to Walgreens because they drive me crazy, but I can't pass this week up!

I am going to need to do three transactions to maximize my money - for a complete list of the Walgreens deals this week see some of my favorite blogs and what they have laid out at Frugal Living NW and Hip2Save.

Transaction #1

2 Neosporin lip treatments 2/$8
Use 2 each $3 off coupons
Get back a $3 RR
2 boxes of Chips ahoy
Get back a $2 RR

Electrosol $3.49
Use $2.50 off coupon
Get back $1 RR

Visine $3.99
Use $2.00 off coupon
Get $1 RR

Sensodyne Proenamel Toothpaste $3.49
$2 in ad coupon
Use the $1/1 coupon from the 1/3 RP or from here
Final cost $.49

Transaction # 2

Buy 4 cases of Aquafina water (24 pks) on sale for $5.99
Use the in ad coupon to make each case of Aquafina $3.99
Get back a $10RR

I will use all the RR's from transaction #1 but I will need one filler item (I think, can any one confirm that I would need more or less?)

Transaction #3

Nicorrette Gum on sale $39.99
Use $15/1 coupon from 1/3 RP insert
Pay $24.99, Get $10 RR

This will leave me with $10 in RR which means I will have to go back to Walgreens - this is my love/hate relationship with Walgreens! With Rite Aid - they send you a check. So I will probably browse the store with my ad and coupons in hand to see if I can find $10 worth of good deals because I hate driving back to Walgreens.

But I wanted you all to see the Walgreens deals! If you check Frual Living and Hip2Save for their Walgreens deals, they have a complete list and it's very clear. I hope to get there some day very soon!!!

  1. I am not seeing why you would need a filler. Using 3 RR's totaling $5 (the $3, and 2- $1). Total for the water would be 4 items and $15.96 + tax. So $10.96 OOP and then get the $10 RR back. If I am overlooking something let me know and I will rerun it.

  2. I made a mistake...missed the $2rr from the cookies. You are still good though. 4 items, 4 rr's, total of 8.96 + tax oop, get back $10 RR. The in ad coupon does NOT count towards your coupon total.

  3. That's where I always get stuck - the in ad coupon. Does it count or not? Should I hand over the RR's first or the in ad coupon?

Also - I'm thinking of trying their ink refilling service. $10 for ink!

  4. In ad Q's DO NOT count. Only manufactures. So the coupons from their coupon books dont count either. ALWAYS hand over any manufacturers (regular ones), then the WAGS, then the RR. If you hand over the RR before the wags, you may end up in the neg, and then they get upset.
